AAPS Foundation is Seeking Silent Auction Items
We’re seeking silent auction items for our 2nd Annual Silent Auction being held at the 2016 Annual Meeting’s, Welcome Reception, on June 24, 2016. We’re raising funds to support a new Disaster Medicine Training Program of the American Academy of Disaster Medicine (AADM). The AADM is one of eighteen distinct specialties of the ABPS, which is the official multi-specialty board certifying body of the American Association of Physician Specialists (AAPS), Inc.
The AADM is the first of its kind in the nation. It was created in response to September 11 and the need to better prepare our nation’s physicians and the public health system. The new program will offer customized education, with a high level of expertise, in collaboration with military medical professionals working in disaster preparedness, at MacDill AFB, Tampa, Florida. It will help to integrate military and civilian medical professionals and promote better communication, fill gaps in training, better prepare emergency responders and help to save more lives!
